Time flies by… That’s a very umbrella statement.
From the perspective I hold, I think that we are unable to capture time and in our own helplessness, we have taken time as our supreme.
Think of it this way, the deer can’t beat the lion. And hence, it has no other option but to hold it as its superior. To abide by what happens…
And there we are, abiding by what time is bringing up into our individual lives.
My father has turned 44… That’s 4 decades of life. I’m 16 right now. My grandfather is 82. My father’s hairs have turned white, at least 1 in every 100 hairs… So colored it with black, just to look compatible with my mother… My mother is 42 but looks like 35.
Just to even think that 3 whole decades of life experience… (my age difference with my father)… that’s 10950 hours.
Or 262800 hours.
Or 15768000 minutes.
You can’t imagine how much experiential learning that amount of time can a simple person gain simply by mere living.
Time flies by… Mindsets yet remain the same.
Nature remains the same. It’s just the man that changes…
And mostly the change is external in most cases.
I was thinking. This man, such a mature wise man… still struggles with the choice. A simple choice of spending how he wants to spend his own time.
A moment of fascination… Time flies by. And yet, if we aren’t completely free to choose how we spend our time the way we want… How come we are truly free? materialistically…
What’s the catch? We need money.
That’s the most obvious answer I can give.
Money doesn’t buy happiness but lack of money certainly buys you misery.
- Daniel Kanheman
Because without money, you are bound to this world. Without money, you need to listen to your superior, because he pays you your salary. Without money, you are helpless in spending your time trying to build someone else’s success.
Sure working is hard. It took me a year… to figure out what I really wanted to become. I recently started LinkedIn in January 2024. But a part of me says that it’s worth it.
The money isn’t everything.
But a quote rings in my head…
”Money isn’t GOD.
But money doesn’t make you less than a GOD.”
In this journey of making money… A lot of people quit. And as per this guy’s post… (AWODEJI), 90% of the writers quit in the first 90 days. the rest 9% quit in the first year. There must be reasons… Obviously, “everyone has their own reasons.”
And no one wants to stay poor. But it’s about changing our mindset to go into that discomfort zone and start struggling.
Because unless or until you start struggling, you can’t earn enough money.
If you do today what 99% of people won’t…
tomorrow, you can be able to do what 99% can’t.
And that’s the thing. Even Elon Musk started by sweeping the floor.
And Buffet sold blue chip stocks, just to start investing at 13.
So, what’s stopping you?
In this answer, I’ve gone through a lot of circumstances… But one morning, I got out of my bed and went to the basin, clicked on the lights… And there it was, in the mirror, looking straight at me. It’s YOU.
That’s the hard pill to swallow. I said mindsets don’t change. Here’s the thing…
you need to change your mindset in order to earn enough money.
It has been YOU vs YOU all the time.
And it’s only YOU who is stopping you from being rich.
Break that barrier.
Get your freedom.
Take actions.
Build a portfolio. Start creating a LinkedIn and apply for jobs. (You will get rejected at least 10 times before someone takes you in (10 is a like SUPERRRRRR LUCKY))
Start your YouTube channel. (Do you think magically opening up your YouTube would let your parents know!? Bro… Come to reality 😂!)
Start a blog. (It takes a long time to rank and even longer to get AdSense money).
Start investing. Start small with GOLD. If you are a teenager, you can create your account at FamPay (an E-Wallet that is secure and safe, & has lots of offers & discounts). You can directly invest in E-GOLD with that!
Create an E-Product and try to sell it. You will understand how hard it is to earn money if you have NO experience.
One thing I don’t regret is TAKING ACTIONS.
I wanted to start a YouTube channel, did it. I have 150+ subscribers. (I know it’s a small thing, but it’s a big thing for me!) I help students with HOW TO study abroad & on how to EARN as a teen :)
I wanted to start a blog, you are reading The Teenager’s Diary now.
I wanted to start investing… I wrote a cheque of 10k from my minor savings account to my mom’s account and started investing. I handle the portfolio comprising my mom’s and my own money (i have like 10%-20% of the corpus) and it’s growing at over 21%.
I wanted to start investing in Gold… I used fampay to do it!
I wanted to help the society especially the teenagers. That’s why I started a non-profit called Abroad For Better Future (AFBF), to help Indian Students fulfill their study abroad dreams after Class 12th.
I still have a long way to go, in order to achieve my goal of financial freedom before the age of 25. But I don’t regret my actions.
Yup… my time went by.
But made sure my academics were on the mark as well…
My key? Time Management is my superpower. 😂
Might launch a course in the future, after having a good amount of audience!
And in the end… I want you to do the same.
You can reach out to me in reply to this email for advice, and I will reply back ;)
But honestly… Don’t think that success is gonna happen to you overnight.
Borrowing from my brother
,Success isn’t an option… It’s a choice.
A choice that you make.
